Methodist ElderCare Services Recognizes National Activity Professionals Week
The Wesley Communities recognizes the contributions of some of its team members during “National Activity Professionals Week,” which is January 16 – 21, 2011
Each January, a special week is set aside to nationally recognize all Activity Professionals who provide services to adults in a variety of settings, including retirement communities, nursing facilities, assisted living facilities and adult day programs. National Activity Professionals Week is January 16 – 21, 2011. These professionals, who are a very important part of our care team, contribute significantly to our residents’ quality of life at Wesley Glen, Wesley Ridge, and Life Center Adult Day Care in Central Ohio.
The Wesley Communities recognized this special team with a luncheon and awards for their dedication and service toward enhancing the lives of its senior adults. Activity Professionals assist in providing programs related to community involvement, mental stimulation, community service, and all types of activities/wellness programs related to maintaining normal life pursuits. Every program is designed to meet the needs of the individual. The underlying value is maintaining a healthier, more active mental outlook, and this relates directly to our residents’ quality of life.
