Tradition Honor Recipient Announced
For the year 2010, Wesley Glen resident Georgine Biedermann has been named the recipient for Tradition Honor Award. Ms. Biedermann is a member of Wesley Glen’s ‘Dog Committee,’ which is instrumental in making stuffed animal dogs for local hospitals. The volunteers have worked tirelessly to produce more than two finished stuffed animal dogs per day. The dog committee has been making the stuffed dogs for local hospitals for an impressive 41 years. These stuffed animals made by the recipient and the rest of the committee volunteers, provide comfort to the 370 children at Children’s Hospital and the 370 patients at Riverside Methodist Hospital who received them this past year. The group helps to make this gift a reality by filling the dog not just with stuffing but also with love.
Ms. Biedermann also helps to make picture books with calendars for Wesley Glen’s Health Center, Special Care and The School for the Deaf. She is constantly demonstrating her commitment to these projects and it is rare to not find her in the ravine room working at the sewing machine! Ms. Biedermann is extremely passionate and takes great ownership in these projects.
Wesley Glen is proud to announce this years Tradition Honor recipient, resident Georgine Biedermann.
